Rundle Place visitors can now interact with an AI-powered vending machine and receive a unique artwork as part of Adelaide's CreaTech City Challenge.

The ARTofficial Truth Machine ATM-001, designed by Dave Court and James Brown with the University of Adelaide's Australian Institute for Machine Learning, generates custom AI-made artworks based on the participant's interaction with the machine's AI personality.

The artwork can be downloaded via QR code and is accompanied by personalised feedback written as poetry. The vending machine also offers physical products designed by local artists. The AI software is built using GPT-3 and the machine is on display at Rundle Place until June 2023.
